Basscoast Intention Circle

  • Basscoast Flying Sage Communal Camp Canada (map)

A Sacred Space for Mindful Exploration

The Flying Sage is excited to offer an unofficial Intention Circle at Basscoast this year. This will be a safe intentional space for you to drop in with others and share about your intentions for the evening. It will also be a great opportunity to connect with other like minded individuals. This circle will be hosted in Camp A at the Flying Sage tent. Exact location released after RSVP.

Anyone attending Basscoast is welcome to attend these intention circles but with that said, some folks may prefer to do their own thing as they prepare for an amazing night. With this in mind, we invite you to consider organizing an intention circle of your own.

The information on this page contains guidance and suggestions on how to create a sacred space for mindful exploration and intention setting, with or without mind-expanding substances, during this festival.

What is an Intention Circle?

An intention circle is a safe and supportive gathering where individuals come together to share their intentions for their experience. It provides an opportunity for open and honest communication, deep connections, and a shared container for personal growth and transformation. It amplifies whatever experience you’re about to embark on..

Creating Your Intention Circle

  1. Choose a Sacred Space: Find a quiet and comfortable location within your camping area where you can create an intimate circle. Consider using blankets, cushions, or natural elements to create a cozy and sacred atmosphere.

  2. Setting the Tone: Begin the circle by setting a positive and respectful tone. Encourage everyone to honour confidentiality and actively listen to one another. Remember to approach the circle with openness, curiosity, and kindness.

  3. Establish Intentions: Invite each person to express their intentions for the evening. Encourage them to reflect on their personal growth, healing, or insights they seek to gain. Remind yourselves that intentions can range from introspection and self-discovery (inner) to connection with nature and to others (outer). Honour each person’s way of relating and expressing.

  4. Rituals and Ceremonies: Consider incorporating rituals or ceremonies that resonate with your group's intentions. This could include grounding exercises, guided meditations, or the creation of a collective intention statement. Be creative and let your intuition guide you.

  5. Continued Support: Emphasize the importance of continued support beyond the intention circle. Encourage participants to connect throughout the festival, check in on each other, and offer support when needed.

Remember, an intention circle is a personal and collective journey. It is a space to foster growth, connection, and mutual understanding. By creating these smaller containers, we hope to empower each other and further cultivate our conscious community where personal transformations can ripple out into the world.

We hope you enjoy your experience at Basscoast festival, and may your intention circle be a powerful catalyst for personal transformation and meaningful connections!

With intention, love and psychedelic gratitude,
