About This Event:

The Flying Sage is excited to bring you yet another insightful and thought-provoking Expansion Seminar. This month we will be exploring the topic of psychedelic facilitation. Joined by a panel of four experienced facilitators in Vancouver, we will cover a range of topics including best practices for working with psychedelics, how to find the right guide for you and more. Some specific questions we hope to address include…

  • What does it mean to be a psychedelic guide?

  • What is the difference between a guide and a trip-sitter?

  • What are some of the top qualities to look for in a psychedelic guide?

  • What does the facilitation network look like in Vancouver?

  • What are some red flags or concerns to be mindful of when working with a guide?

These are just a few of the types of questions we will be discussing during this event.

About Our Speakers:

Aga Postawska

Aga is a trauma informed Breathwork practitioner, Kambo and Bufo facilitator, and mushroom medicine guide. She has over 10 years of professional experience working in the realm of holistic healing and expanded states of consciousness. She is a playful explorer of our inner worlds and is passionate at providing a safe space for people to heal with the help of spirit medicines.

Sagan Bolliger

Sagan Bolliger is a psychedelic guide and co-creator of the Earthlings Institute with his life partner Helena Zhu, where they offer transformative private and group experiences with the medicine 5-MeO-DMT, monthly integration circles, and monthly facilitator circles for fostering community and best practices among psychedelic facilitators. His work as a guide is rooted in his 15-year journey of personal healing work with the earth medicines, meditation, and his connection to the natural world. He approaches his work with a deep honouring of the courage it takes to show up for ourselves in the process of healing and believes in creating a therapeutic container with enough love and acceptance to bring home even our most deeply exiled parts.

Sagan has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Philosophy and a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Toronto. He has received training in psychedelic facilitation, talk therapy, and crisis and suicide response.

Joney Poon

Introducing Joney Poon, a dedicated and experienced therapist deeply committed to guiding individuals through the intricate tapestry of the human experience. As a cisgendered queer woman of color, Joney is wholeheartedly devoted to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where all can embark on their inner journeys.

With a wealth of expertise spanning music therapy, somatic therapy, hypnotherapy, counseling, parts therapy, and Pre & Post Psychedelic Integration, Joney possesses a rich toolkit to facilitate liberation and growth. She firmly believes that our bodies house untold stories yearning to be heard, and by dismantling the barriers we've constructed, we can break free from patterns that no longer serve us.

What sets Joney apart is her distinctive approach, which draws inspiration from quantum physics as an epistemological source for self-discovery and understanding of our interconnectedness with the universe. Her sessions are thoughtfully designed to empower individuals in overcoming challenges such as anxiety, depression, feelings of being lost or stagnant, and behaviors that hinder their connection to themselves and others.

Journeying across diverse landscapes, both physical and spiritual, Joney has explored the human condition, spirituality, and the essence of the soul. Her life is an unfolding voyage, a reflection of her core values—love, discernment, and an unquenchable thirst for knowledge.

In her role as a ceremonial guide, Joney practices a harm reduction-oriented approach, seamlessly merging traditional Eastern and Asian ceremonial practices with the profound wisdom of plant medicine. Her specialization lies in the art of stacking medicines, with a particular emphasis on working with DMT, including 5-MeO-DMT and NN-DMT. Joney firmly believes in the philosophy of "less is more," prioritizing the gentle modulation of the nervous system.

As an individual contributing in the psychedelic field, she has helped develop the first and safe form of micro-dosing DMT. She also created a protocol for micro-dosing DMT as an integral component of integration therapy and other healing modalities. If you seek a compassionate and knowledgeable guide to navigate the depths of your inner world, look no further than Joney. Her dedication is unwavering in helping individuals find their path to liberation, expansion, and a life enriched with love, curiosity, and profound connection.

Nicholas Wong

Soul Doctor Nick is a father and a husband, and his family are his greatest teachers. They remind him daily of his mission to expand Joy, Ohana, and Wonder. After decades of training and work as a Medical Doctor, Genius, Medical Scientist, and Ontological Life Coach, he ventured down the path of Spirit Plant Medicine and Breathwork. Gifted with amazing Healers and Shamans, transfiguration was made possible and he healed from his lifelong asthma (he was on multiple daily medications and twice yearly antibiotics), something his medical mind had previously deemed impossible. This miracle led to breathwork facilitation training and starting a family. Dr. Nick is the founder of Ohana Breath, a space to bring people into their own experiential healing journey, both in person and virtually. He is rapidly shifting conventional business models, as these are not his "clients", and the goal is to create independence and foster intuition. His guiding principle for doing this work is having fun, as "spiritual work doesn't have to be serious." For those who are called to dive deeper with him, Dr. Nick guides private and small group journeys that include breath, Hapé, as well as tailored medicine protocols. He has been fortunate to train with amazing medicine carriers, including Ivan and Lana Rados, and Robin Clements, and continues to deepen the practice. He is currently in a year long container with Fit For Service, working directly with Aubrey Marcus and his team. He has grand visions which include breathwork sessions for over 1000 participants, leading a journey to Egypt, and free-diving with the whales.
