Introducing Our Kits Beach Meetups
Every other Wednesday during the summer, we gather as a community at Kits Beach and invite local facilitators to join us in offering unique workshops with a different theme each week. Through these events, we seek to offer transformation, connection and peak experiences all while providing a container to connect with other like-minded people in the community.
For these events, you can expect everything from yoga and movement workshops to sound healing and introductory psychedelic exploration. We hope to provide a rich diversity of offerings all summer long!
Please register below if you would like to attend the facilitated portion of the event from 7:00-8:30pm. We meet on the grass area near Kitsilano Showboat (just behind Kitsilano Pool) and these events are weather dependent, so if it rains, we will postpone.
About This Week’s Meetup: Rapeh Ceremony: Sacred Healing Ritual
Immerse yourself in the profound healing journey of a Rapeh ceremony led by Jennifer Schwientek and Alejandro Giraldo.
During the ceremony, Jennifer and Alejandro will create a safe and supportive space where you can release energetic blockages, deepen your connection to self and spirit, and experience profound physical and emotional detoxification. Drawing upon her expertise in shamanic practices and trauma-informed care, Jennifer will guide you through the ceremony with compassion and reverence, allowing you to access deep states of healing and spiritual insight.
Whether you seek emotional release, spiritual growth, or physical cleansing, the Rapeh ceremony offers a potent opportunity for self-discovery and transformation. Join us as we come together in community to honor ancient traditions and harness the healing energies of the Amazon rainforest. This ceremony is open to all members of The Flying Sage community who are ready to embark on a journey of healing, growth, and empowerment.
About This Week’s Facilitator: Jennifer Schwientek
Alejandro Giraldo
Alejandro Giraldo hails from the ancestral land of Colombia and brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge as a certified professional and trauma-informed coach, lawyer, and nervous system regulation advocate. Alejandro has dedicated his career and life path to promoting healing, integration, and restoring our essential connection to Mother Earth through its medicines and ancestral traditions.
His upbringing and personal experiences have profoundly influenced his journey, leading to a lifelong commitment to planetary conservation, the quest for existential answers, and fostering social cohesion. Immersed in the profound wisdom and practices of his ancestors from an early age, Alejandro has passionately championed the preservation and revitalization of indigenous wisdom. This dedication has not only deepened his connection to nature but has also guided him in advocating for the rights and traditions of indigenous communities.
Alejandro believes in the power of nature to heal and sustain us and deeply honors the innate connection we have with Mother Earth—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. He views us as an extension of her, fully supported by her nurturing presence.
Today, Alejandro brings the spirit of his ancestors and the teachings of his indigenous heritage to this ceremony. He is grateful for the opportunity to share this sacred space, to honor Pachamama, the Ancestors, the Great Spirit, and to connect with the profound energies that Grandfather Tobacco offers.
