Kits Meetup - Ganja Yoga

  • The Stretch Space 2188 York Avenue Vancouver, BC, V6K 3E7 Canada (map)

Introducing Our Kits Meetups

Our Kits Meetups are one of our longest standing events with The Flying Sage. For each of these events, we like to invite new and local facilitators to lead unique workshops designed to inspire transformation, connection, and peak experiences. The focus here is on diversity of experience so you can expect something different each time!

Each week, we invite local facilitators to lead us through unique workshops designed to inspire transformation, foster deep connections, and create peak experiences. These events are more than just workshops though—they're opportunities to meet and bond with like-minded individuals, all within a supportive and vibrant community.

Join us as we explore new ideas, expand our horizons, and connect with others on this journey of growth and discovery. We can't wait to see you there!

About This Week’s Meetup: Ganja Yoga

Ganja Yoga will incorporate cannabis with a yoga practice at Kitsilano beach. This workshop will include intention setting, a traditional yoga class, guided meditation, and integration circle, all in community. Leaving you feeling euphoric, grounded and connected to self.

This event is about cultivating a healthy, intentional relationship with cannabis use, focusing on how we can use it for inner healing, growth, development, and exploration. We are utilizing small doses as the ceremony is about being intentional with our cannabis use and exploring the depths of what we can reach with a low-dose.

Cannabis use is optional as we also welcome people who are interested in attending but want to opt out of cannabis digestion.

Please arrive having eaten a light meal earlier in the day (limit heavy food 1-2 hrs before).

Safety:

Nothing here is intended as medical advice. The microdose offered at this event is completely optional as well. If you are someone sensitive to altered states or substances in general, we encourage you to avoid driving to and from the event. We encourage you to be on an empty stomach for events if you intend to consume a microdose. Extra caution should be taken when microdosing by pregnant or breastfeeding women and should be avoided by anyone prone to seizures, heart problems, blood pressure problems, or mental health issues such as bipolar, schizophrenia or severe anxiety.

It is a mindfulness based practice that is composed of the traditional forms (Vinyasa, Yin, Hatha), focusing specifically on breath and body awareness.

It is a gentle practice, and is accessible for folks who have never done yoga before and for experienced yogis. It is gentle, deep, transformational and rooted in Classical yoga. Navin has been teaching both in person and online classes, and leading workshops in the Vancouver area since graduating from the 300 hour + teacher training program in 2018.

He also facilitates workshops, presents at conferences, and offers Sound Meditation sessions with live music, inviting participants to engage in breathing, journaling, movement, yoga, and meditation.

Chandni Sidhpura

Chandni teaches Kundalini yoga and Kundalini breathwork. This is a traditional yoga practice known as the yoga of consciousness and rests firmly in the realm of spirituality. This dates back to teachings in the vedic texts from over 1000 BC and was introduced to the west in the 1960’s.This form of yoga involves chanting, meditation, breathing, and postures specific to activate your Kundalini energy which sits at the base of your spine.

Through this practice you can awaken your body’s innate healing intelligence (Kundalini energy) to move through your chakras. As your Kundalini energy rises, it brings balance to your life and spirit. With regular practice, it can contribute to your spiritual wellness by improving your mind-body-spirit connection. Chandni has been practicing this form of yoga since childhood, as taught to her by her mother, and completed her teacher training program in 2012.

Chandni is dedicated to expanding consciousness and transcendence using traditional Eastern healing, plant medicines, and energy work. With a lineage of yogis and healers, she honors her Indian heritage through ceremonial teachings. Chandni guides tea ceremonies with chanting, mantra, kundalini awakening, and pranayama, blending cultural roots with clinical psychology. A Kundalini Energy & Chakra Healer, she helps clients process emotions and energetic blocks. Trained in Spinal Energetics and KRI yoga, Chandni has been a Clinical Psychotherapist since 2014, specializing in anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Founder of @TheTherapeuticCentre and facilitator of @WoMoonCircles, she is also a TheraPsil certified Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapist. With 14 years in Primary Care Psychology for the NHS and 4 years as Clinical Director for MIND, Chandni uses evidence-based interventions and is accredited in Canada, the UK, and Europe, focusing on marginalized populations and ethnic minority groups.
