Kits Meetup - Taishiki - Your Body Awareness Practice

  • The Stretch Space 2188 York Avenue Vancouver, BC, V6K 3E7 Canada (map)

Introducing Our Kits Meetups

Our Kits Meetups are one of our longest standing events with The Flying Sage. For each of these events, we like to invite new and local facilitators to lead unique workshops designed to inspire transformation, connection, and peak experiences. The focus here is on diversity of experience so you can expect something different each time!

Each week, we invite local facilitators to lead us through unique workshops designed to inspire transformation, foster deep connections, and create peak experiences. These events are more than just workshops though—they're opportunities to meet and bond with like-minded individuals, all within a supportive and vibrant community.

Join us as we explore new ideas, expand our horizons, and connect with others on this journey of growth and discovery. We can't wait to see you there!

About This Week’s Meetup: Taishiki - Your Body Awareness Practice

This week, we’re thrilled to welcome you into the practice of Taishiki—a journey into profound awareness and deep embodiment.

Rooted in nature-based therapy, somatic practices, and sensory exploration, Taishiki invites you to shift from the analytical mind into the rich terrain of the feeling body. Through a guided two-hour immersion, you’ll be encouraged to slow down, tune in, and experience the world through your seven senses:

sight . smell . taste . hearing . touch . interoception . proprioception

Throughout the experience, food and essential oils will be intentionally incorporated to awaken the senses and deepen your connection to the present moment. We’ll end our time together in a cozy sharing circle, where tea will be served—offering a moment to ground, reflect, and integrate within community.

This practice engages the parasympathetic nervous system, reducing stress hormones like cortisol and inviting a state of calm, grounded presence. Whether you’re integrating a past medicine journey, reconnecting with your body after a period of stress, or simply craving deeper self-awareness, Taishiki offers a nourishing reset for your system.

Expect a mix of meditation, movement, and sensory awareness designed to reawaken your connection to self, to the Earth, and to the wisdom of your own body.
