Weekly Kits Beach Meetup - Rooted, Rested & Radiant

  • Kitsilano Showboat 2300 Cornwall Avenue Vancouver, BC, V6K 1B6 Canada (map)

Introducing Our Weekly Kits Beach Meetups

Every Thursday during the summer, we gather as a community at Kits Beach and invite local facilitators to join us in offering unique workshops with a different theme each week. Through these events, we seek to offer transformation, connection and peak experiences all while providing a container to connect with other like-minded people in the community and enjoy some food together.

For these events, you can expect everything from yoga and movement workshops to sound healing and introductory psychedelic exploration. We hope to provide a rich diversity of offerings all summer long!

Please register below if you would like to attend the facilitated portion of the event from 7:00-8:30pm. We meet on the grass area near Kitsilano Showboat (just behind Kitsilano Pool) and these events are weather dependent, so if it rains, we will postpone.

About This Week’s Meetup: Rooted, Rested & Radiant

Tantra means to become of a vessel of expanded +embodied self-love. We will begin with a primal shaking ceremony honoring the Earth and our bones, then lay down and begin gentle pranic breathwork, which helps to reparent our inner child parts, and balance our divine masculine and feminine within. After opening ceremony and sharing our intentions to build community + connection, we will break into pairs for some sparsha mudra back of the heart touch, some inquiry in pairs, and fun primal dance movement to close. Sound bowls and chimes will wind us down and integrate our nervous system for luminous new pathways of receptivity, rest and resourced energy. As well, there will be Ayurvedic Tea offered for those that would like.

About This Week’s Facilitator:

Abneet Sandhar

Abneet is a trained classical Indian yoga Tantra guide, receiving her 300hr teacher training with Master yoga lineage holder: Maitreyi Yogacharini from the Arkaya foundation in 2019. She is also a Feminine Embodiment Coach receiving Woman's Temple facilitation training with Awakening Women in 2017, and also is a certified Holistic Nutritionist + Chef. She is also a trained High School teacher, receiving her B.ed in Social Sciences + Literature from University of Toronto in 2009.

She is OBSESSED with guiding women back to their inner healing capability and reclaiming inner power. Abneet is the founder + CEO of The Nourished Woman, a platform created in 2017, helping women reconnect to their physical + spiritual nourishment.

In Summer 2021, she was awarded for her community leadership and facilitation by the Visioneers Network. In summer 2022, her work covering the roots of tantra, was featured in Cosmo magazine.

She knows that the healing of the world takes place as the Sacred Feminine is brought back into balance.

As a survivor of sexual abuse and C-PTSD, a former burlesque model, nude art model and life-long sacred arts dancer, she encourages women in her practice to enter their bodies more fully in order to show up more deeply in every aspect of their lives; in intimate relating, communication, money and sex.

She knows first-hand the power that nervous system regulation, creating safety in the body, and embodiment can have on highly sensitive women.

After years of studying spiritual self- healing techniques, meditation, classical tantric yoga and dance, she brings you "The Nourished Woman"-- a safe space for women of all walks of life to come together in community to celebrate and express their most honest raw selves. The time for feminine leadership on the Earth is rising, and women can support each other in these times, as we also steadily and gently do our own inner-self work and care.

Abneet currently offers private mentorship in her 1:1 Embodied Woman Sacred Reclamation Accelerator spanning 12 weeks, international goddess retreats and her signature 8 week Awakening Shakti tantra course for women, which starts this Fall on Thursday Sept 21, 2023.
