Weekly Kits Beach Meetup - 4-ACO Breathwork

  • Kitsilano Showboat 2300 Cornwall Avenue Vancouver, BC, V6K 1B6 Canada (map)

Introducing Our Weekly Kits Beach Meetups

Every Thursday during the summer, we gather as a community at Kits Beach and invite local facilitators to join us in offering unique workshops with a different theme each week. Through these events, we seek to offer transformation, connection and peak experiences all while providing a container to connect with other like-minded people in the community and enjoy some food together.

For these events, you can expect everything from yoga and movement workshops to sound healing and introductory psychedelic exploration. We hope to provide a rich diversity of offerings all summer long!

The facilitated portion of these events costs $20 but if you simply want to drop by after for the BBQ and potluck, you are welcome to simply stop by for free. Please register below if you would like to attend the facilitated portion of the event from 7:00-8:30pm. We meet on the grass area near Kitsilano Showboat (just behind Kitsilano Pool) and these events are weather dependent, so if it rains, we will postpone.

Also, please note this is a POTLUCK. If you intend to eat with us, please bring some food to share with others. We will have a BBQ to cook food on. Finally, also note that the meetup next week will be shifted to May 24th instead of May 25th because of our Expansion Seminar happening already on the 25th.

About This Week’s Meetup: 4-ACO Breathwork

For our first Kits Beach Meetup of this summer, we will be hosting a special 4-ACO Breathwork Ceremony facilitated by Gabo and Kaan. The breathwork will be a gentle experience weaving storytelling, meditation and rhythm to create a safe container for you to explore the deep wisdom that your body has within it. For those that would like an additional flare to their experience, we will also be offering microdoses of 4-ACO DMT included in your ticket.

What is 4-ACO DMT?

4-ACO-DMT is safe and legal compound that induces effects closely resembling those of the classical psychedelic, psilocybin (AKA Magic Mushrooms). Upon ingestion, 4-ACO-DMT metabolizes into Psilocin in the body, producing effects that can last for up to 7 hours. Numerous reports have favored 4-ACO-DMT, citing its euphoric, gentle, warm, and colorful effects. It is also less likely to cause nausea due to its lower material consumption. 4-ACO is legal in Canada.

The dose that we will be offering will be 1-2mg and it is completely optional. You can take it before the breathwork, or take it home to enjoy another time. The breathwork will be an experience in of itself and the 4-ACO is there to heighten the experience if desired. We will be offering Neurodose products which you can also purchase yourself here using this link.

About This Week’s Facilitators:

Gabriel Largaespada

Gabriel is a movement coach at Restore Human in Vancouver, was born and raised in Nicaragua and has always had an affinity for the realm of the physical, the psychological and the spiritual. Gabo’s connection to the spiritual realm was initiated through psychedelic medicines, meditation and breath work practices. He’s guided group meditations, facilitated healing events and now aims to continue furthering his passion for helping people through a modality that he finds incredibly powerful, psychedelic medicines. Gabriel is a Community Leader with The Flying Sage and has facilitated many integration circles as one of the organization's core team members.

Kaan Akkaya

Kaan was born in Turkey and lived in the UAE for 10 years before moving to Vancouver. His spiritual journey began in his late teens when he started practicing yoga, meditation and participating in plant medicine ceremonies. Kaan explores altered states of consciousness in a mindful manner and advocates for respect and reverance for the medicines. He has always loved movement; having trained in gymnastics since the age of 5, to playing competitive sports and practicing calisthenics, he puts a large emphasis on movement as it relates to breath and trauma stored in the body. Kaan has his 200 hour YTT and completed the Trauma Informed Somatic Breathwork Course by Tim Morrison. In his approach, he has been inspired by John Sutherland's Adaptive Bodywork and his teachings on active pain relief and human structural integration. Kaan's main aim is to explore the connection between mindful movement, the breath and trauma in conscious settings.
