About This Event
The Flying Sage and Crossing Worlds are excited to be collaborating to bring you Lumio. This is your invitation to a conscious dance experience where freedom, presence and embodiment take center stage. This is a dance designed to facilitate your full expression.
At each of these events, we will dedicate time at the start for a facilitated experience followed by a semi-guided ecstatic dance. This month, Gabriel from Inhale Life Collective will be offering a gentle and grounding breathwork experience before we transition to dance facilitated by the incredible DJ duo Perspectiv.
In the heart of this experience lies a simple but profound ethos: Freedom. Leave judgments at the door as you step into a world of dance and full expression. To achieve this, we have a few simple rules that we ask everyone to follow on the dance floor. These rules are inspired by Ecstatic Dance LA but are modified slightly in that we welcome safe, conscious and intentional use of medicine.
BE FREE. DANCE HOW YOU WANT. NO JUDGEMENT.
BE PRESENT. NO PHONES. NO CAMERAS.
BE CLEAR. NO ALCOHOL. MINDFUL MEDICINE CONSUMPTION.
BE EMBODIED. NO TALKING.
BE CONSENSUAL. IF IT’S NOT A CLEAR YES, IT’S A NO.
By sharing in this agreement together, our dance floor can become a canvas for embodiment, allowing us all to dive deep into the music, rhythm and our own inner space.
Lumio is a collective vision that we are co-creating together. It's where the wisdom of psychedelics and expanded states merges with the power of dance and community.

About Your Facilitators:
Gabriel Largaespada (Breathwork)
Gabriel is a movement coach at Restore Human in Vancouver, was born and raised in Nicaragua and has always had an affinity for the realm of the physical, the psychological and the spiritual.
Gabo’s connection to the spiritual realm was initiated through psychedelic medicines, meditation and breath work practices. He’s guided group meditations, facilitated healing events and now aims to continue furthering his passion for helping people through a modality that he finds incredibly powerful, psychedelic medicines.
Gabriel is a Community Leader with The Flying Sage and has facilitated many integration circles as one of the organization's core team members.
Perspectiv (Music)
Childhood friends Shamil & Jason from Moçambique, became the DJ & producer duo Perspectiv when they both moved to Vancouver, Canada in 2016. They run their own events brand called ‘Crossing Worlds’ and have become a staple for afro-house & organic music in the Vancouver nightscene. The duo weaves their multicultural backgrounds into a story that takes audiences traveling through through sonic landscapes that span from Latin America to their mother continent of Africa. Perspectiv reveals a wild passion for transcending the boundaries of different genres and always aim to connect people to their roots, a portal that often only music can unlock. With releases on Inward Records, Lump Records, and 3000 grad they enjoy producing world and groovy soundscapes. The duo have an upcoming EP on Cafe Anatolia and one more surprise release for this year.
Aevum Opia (Guided Dance & Soundbath)
Aevum Opia is a musical duo weaving an enchanting tapestry of sound and spirit. Iris Hollow’s ethereal and angelic harmonies intertwine with the soothing tones of Lion Carew’s polyrhythmic hardpan to offer a unique sound healing experience. Each note invites you to surrender to your inner flow, awakening the soul and expanding the horizons of your infinite imagination. All is rhythm. All is vibration.

This event is open to the public and early bird tickets are $45. General Admission tickets will be $55. This is a 19+ event. If you are a member with the Flying Sage, tickets are 20% off.
