The Vancouver Psychedelic Society - Announcement
On Sunday, September 10th, 2023 we hosted a collaborative event with the Vancouver Psychedelic Society (V.P.S). The purpose of the event was to bring together both communities under a shared vision. Together, we are now one and the same organization committed to offering transformative and accessible events here in Vancouver.
The Flying Sage is deeply grateful to the V.P.S for putting their trust in The Flying Sage community to help steer the V.P.S moving forward. Present among the steering committee at the time of this announcement were Kristof (Founder of the V.P.S), Kenny, Rayna and Chris who all helped to announce our collaboration moving forward. As well, leadership was also present from the UBC Psychedelic Society including Kailey and Jovan.
About The Vancouver Psychedelic Society
The Vancouver Psychedelic Society was founded in 2019 by Kristof Lenart. Over the years, the V.P.S grew through Meetup and hosted 45 meetups and other events bringing together people in Vancouver together over a shared cause of promoting psychedelics in a science-based way.
About The flying sage
The Flying Sage started in 2019 as a clothing brand. Our goal was to help de-stigmatize psychedelics by offering apparel for the modern psychedelic voyager. Although clothing is still a part of what we do, our focus now is on democratizing transcendence through building community. In 2021 we started to run integration circles and expansion seminars here in Vancouver with the goal of helping people connect through their experiences. This was in parallel to what the V.P.S was doing. Our focus so far has been on bringing people together in person but we are now starting to offer virtual events as well.
In 2022 we launched our membership program and now our focus is on pouring as much love as we can into our growing community of people using psychedelics intentionally. We currently offer about 3-4 events per week in Vancouver including Integration Circles, Seminars, Cannabis Ceremonies, Sound Baths and Breathwork Ceremonies. If you keep reading, I will share more about how we intend to align with this Meetup group moving forward.
Moving Forward/Next Steps
So looking ahead, you can expect a lot of events coming your way as a member of the Vancouver psychedelic scene! As of Winter 2023, we are now offering 4-5 in-person events per week here in Vancouver. The best place to see all of our events is on our website here. Some of these events are free (like our weekly Integration Circles, Cold Plunges or Pop-Ups). Other events are ticketed like our Cannabis Ceremonies, Breathwork and Expansion Seminars.
All of the information about our events can be found on our website and that is where you must RSVP or get tickets moving forward. Please note that moving forward, Meetup is not where you get tickets or RSVP for an event with the V.P.S. Meetup is simply one place where we now post the events.
