About This Event: Ascension

The Flying Sage is excited to be partnering with the Cosmic Otter Orchestra to bring you a new monthly offering. This unique experience will include a facilitated candlelit walking meditation practice on a 13-metre hardwood Labyrinth, backdropped by immersive nature sounds. After walking the Labyrinth, we’ll gather in a circle for a unique sound experience combining elements of guided meditation, sound bath, and field recordings collected around British Columbia. The circle will then close with an open mic for poetry sharing.

6:30pm - Arrivals, Facilitated walking meditation on the Labyrinth

7:30pm - Transition to circle for guided meditation sound experience

9:00pm - Poetry sharing

9:30pm - Close

About Your Facilitator:

**Brendon Campbell**

**Brendon** recently completed New Media Gallery's Island Field Recording Program and has enjoyed collecting sounds from immersive natural environments that promote relaxation and healing. With a deep curiosity around all things sound, psychology, meditation, and psychedelics, he offers tranquil soundscapes and meditation experiences through the Cosmic Otter Orchestra. Brendon first connected with The Flying Sage in 2020 when he led a team of volunteers as the producer and editor of the first season of the MAPS Canada podcast, which was published throughout 2021. He also played a key role in launching the Flying Sage Podcast in 2022. Brendon is a Vipassana meditator and has completed The Dharmacist's Toad School course.

What To Bring:

1. Cozy items for sitting comfortably or laying down on the floor (yoga mat, cushion, blanket, pillow, soft things)✨

2. Socks (no shoes on the labyrinth!) 🧦

These events are open to the public and tickets are $35.00. If you are a Sage or Wizard Member, tickets are FREE! Tickets can be found here.
