The Flying Sage is excited to invite you to Emergence; an ecstatic New Year’s ceremony. We’re calling on anyone who wishes to celebrate the New Year in an expansive and intentional way. Prepare for an incredibly activated dance floor, cacao ceremony and sound bath that will emerge us into 2023 together in a powerful & connected way.

Offerings for this magical evening will include breath work, sound healing, ceremonial cacao and ecstatic dance. For the transition into the New Year, we will have a team of medicine women offering live vocals and music to carry us with intention into 2023.

This event will be alcohol free and our team will create a strong, sacred and safe container to facilitate the emergence of your truest expressions. For the Ecstatic Dance stage, we will maintain a silent, shoe-free and phone-free environment. We will also have space for those that wish to mingle and socialize throughout the event.

About Our Facilitators

Perspectiv

Childhood friends Shamil & Jason from Moçambique, became the DJ & producer duo Perspectiv when they both moved to Vancouver, Canada in 2016. They run their own events brand called ‘Crossing Worlds’ and have become a staple for afro-house & organic music in the Vancouver nightscene. The duo weaves their multicultural backgrounds into a story that takes audiences traveling through through sonic landscapes that span from Latin America to their mother continent of Africa. Perspectiv reveals a wild passion for transcending the boundaries of different genres and always aim to connect people to their roots, a portal that often only music can unlock. With releases on Inward Records, Lump Records, and 3000 grad they enjoy producing world and groovy soundscapes. The duo have an upcoming EP on Cafe Anatolia and one more surprise release for this year.

Kaila Lawton

Kaila is a ceremonialist, transformational coach, and etheric sound healing artist. With a background rooted in shamanic practices, vocal channeling, energy work, and a deep passion for self-discovery. Kaila devotes her energy to facilitating sacred spaces for people to explore the depths of their consciousness. Her highest intention is to help bring you back to your original blueprint and vibratory state.

Aga Postawska

Aga is a trauma informed Breathwork practitioner, Kambo and Bufo facilitator, and mushroom medicine guide. She has over 10 years of professional experience working in the realm of holistic healing and expanded states of consciousness. She is a playful explorer of our inner worlds and is passionate at providing a safe space for people to heal with the help of spirit medicines.

Damian Kai Norman

As a professional dance artist, a holistic movement coach, a certified yoga instructor, and a trained breathwork facilitator; Damian Kai Norman strives to understand the body through conscious breath, intuitive energetic awareness, soft pliable musculature, and functional range of motion. Norman has over 10 years of experience performing and teaching across Canada and Europe and is always searching for new modes of expanding what is possible through physical practice. Norman is a level two graduate of Slava Golobouv’s movement flow program and is currently expanding his understanding of meditation + mindfulness through The Power Of Awareness certification course.

He is also a growing voice in conscious men’s work through the Samurai Brotherhood, stepping further into leadership roles. Lastly, he has enrolled in the Rhodes College Professional Counselling Program, envisioning an integrative approach to physical, emotional, and psychological healing. With a calm grounded presence and an uplifting encouraging spirit, Norman invites you to connect with your body and build a relationship of trust, freedom, curiosity, and compassion…Manifesting a conscious abundant partnership with yourself.

Tefa Vento

Erica’s professional studies in communication, holistic therapy and acting have influenced each of her personal projects. The techniques she uses to enhance healing come from a variety of sources, including movement arts, medicine music, meditation, and shamanism. Erica is the founder of Paxkan, a collective of holistic therapists and artists; and Habitat Teatro, a performing arts company in Mexico since 2012. Currently based in Vancouver, she offers individual sessions, workshops, and events for personal, artistic and spiritual development to all kinds of audiences. She has presented her work in different spaces, exhibitions and festivals in Mexico, Canada and Guatemala.

Kassie Rhodenizer

Kass is a sacred space-holder who supports her clients in softening into their hearts. She gently guides her clients in clearing the barriers they’ve created to loving themselves wholly and compassionately. Working intimately with the heart-opening medicine of Cacao, Kass holds her clients in the frequency of deep self-acceptance, allowing any judgments or harshness to melt away so we can remember the truth of who we are- innocent, pure, and whole. She supports people in releasing their fear of being seen & helps them find confidence in showing up in their full, authentic expression. Kass is an energy healer working in downtown Vancouver, as well as a hatha yoga teacher & soul journey dance faciiitator. She also is co-founder of Liberated Woman Retreats which run every 2-3 months around BC.

Passio

Passio, aka, Gabriel Largaespada, is a Nicaraguan born DJ with a deep passion for songs that make people groove. His style ranges from lush funky minimal house to Latin/Afro inspired rhythms. His belief is that music has the power to unite us in spirit so he intends to do so.
