Weekly Member Meetup - Psychedelic Cafe with TheraPsil

  • 2188 York Ave Vancouver, BC, V6K 3E7 Canada (map)

Introducing Our Member Meetups

Every Wednesday during the Fall, we gather as a community at The Stretch Space to connect, expand and learn more about one another. Each week we invite local facilitators to join us in offering unique workshops with a different theme. Through these events, we seek to offer transformation, connection and peak experiences all while providing a container to connect with other like-minded people in the community.

These events are a continuation of our summer pop-ups but we are dedicating them to our Flying Sage members.

Please note as well that these events are a POTLUCK. If you intend to eat with us, please bring some food to share with others. We will NOT have a BBQ to cook food on so best to bring simple food items.

About This Week’s Workshop: Psychedelic Cafe with TheraPsil

For this week’s Member Meetup we are excited to be partnering with TheraPsil to host one of their Psychedelic Cafe’s. This event will be an opportunity for practitioners, patients, and supporters in Vancouver to come together to connect and build meaningful relationships with one another. This cafe will be facilitated by Mehran Seyed Emami who will help to curate and guide our conversation.

This event will also be a pot-luck and so we encourage you to bring a shared meal to enjoy with others.

About This Week’s Facilitator: Mehran Seyed Emami

Mehran Seyed Emami is a Registered Clinical Counsellor, a Certified Practitioner of Compassionate Inquiry (developed by Dr. Gabor Mate), and a graduate of the Integral Counseling Psychology program at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). He is currently undergoing training at the Center for Psychedelic Therapies and Research (CPTR) at CIIS.

Through his private practice, Mind Body Integration, Mehran invites a trauma-informed and holistic approach, while looking through a biopsychosocial-spiritual lens. “I welcome all aspects of a person's lived reality and help them reconnect, re-integrate, and heal parts of themselves that they may have disconnected from due to past trauma(s). As Ram Dass shares “I help people as a way to work on myself, and I work on myself to help people.”

What To Bring:

  1. Mug for hot chocolate or tea

  2. Cushions or blankets to make yourself comfortable on the floor

  3. Food for potluck
