Cold Plunge Challenge

We are excited to be running our second Cold Plunge Challenge which started on January 11th. This challenge will run for 12 weeks and will be a great opportunity for those seeking some accountability and incentive in making cold exposure a part of your weekly routine. The last plunge of this challenge will be on March 29th. We start with 3 rounds of Wim Hof Breathwork, then we plunge and usually do a bit of Qigong after. We want to bring a meditative aspect to this event and so we ask that during the plunge itself, you remain silent so that everyone can have space to feel into the sensations brought about by the cold. This is a free event and is taking place in Vancouver, Nelson and Bowen Island.

For those that are able to attend all 12 of our weekly plunges, you will win…

  • A Free Community Sauna session pass with the amazing Finnish Sauna

  • An invite to a group celebration with The Finnish Sauna

  • A free 3-month trial to our Sage Tier Membership with The Flying Sage which includes free access to all of our events and access to our purpose-built Community Platform

  • A flying sage hat

  • A 30 pack of microdoses from Moment Mushrooms

  • And more prizes to be announced soon for Nelson & Bowen Island plungers!

Locations

Vancouver: 7:30am sharp at Kitsilano Beach. Look for the white Flying Sage tent and Gabo who will be facilitating.

Bowen Island: 7:30am sharp at Tunstall Bay. Look for Shauna or Linda who will be facilitating.

Nelson: 8:00am sharp at Rotary Lakeside Park. Look for Jack Bunce who will be facilitating.

  • Essentials: Bathing suit, warm layers, change of clothing. Umbrella or rainjacket if it is raining to keep you and your things dry.

Optional: A poncho or robe to make changing clothing easier for you after. Warm tea. Water shoes.

  • 1.) The group celebration with The Finnish Sauna will not be free but you will get a free Social Sauna pass which you can use at one of their community sauna sessions at a later date.

2.) You will only be able to miss one cold plunge to remain in the challenge. And even still, if you do miss one, you will need to make it up and share on social (or send to us if you do not have social media or choose not to use it)*

3.) Your plunge counts as long as you make it in the water with us. If you are late and miss the breathwork, your plunge will still count.

Our weekly cold plunges are open anyone and our challenge is optional. If you would like to participate in the challenge and have not already signed up, please email hello@theflyingsage.ca
